Coal Games is a flash game website that runs on the popular open source applications PHP and MySQL. Joshua Li created Coal Games on October 18, 2008 and is also programmed, designed, and maintained by Joshua Li.
History
The domain "coalgames.com" was picked out of three choices: "coalgames.com", "pinegames.com", and "strawgames.com". Until May 10, 2009, Coal Games has been hosted by 000webhost.com. Now, Bluehost hosts it. Coal Games originally doubled as an open source arcade script and a game site but support for the script was never there. Only one version was ever released. Version 0.0.1 released on January 11, 2009 is still online at Sourceforge. A arcade script may be released later but there are no plans as of right now.
